Importing data from Nutritional Database

Ajouté par Gabriel Tortelli il y a plus de 6 ans

Hi there!

I just started creating my very first formula. I'm importing ingredients from USDA. I'm getting the names ok, but it doesn't seem to be working to import the other data (like allergens, nutritional data, etc). Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I went as far as entering on the raw material itself, trying to load the data, but nothing appear. Same thing happens as I try to see the nutritional facts / allergens / and all the data that should be imported. I tried clicking on 'formulate' (both on the raw material and finished product level) but it still doesn't update. See video: https://youtu.be/jRHgqFapaG4

Am I missing any step? I tried following this thread, but it doesn't mention this kind of error.

Thanks a lot!

Gabriel

Dear Gabriel,

How did you setup your system ?
If you installed beCPG from scratch, I think nutrients are not in your system.

For a test, I advice you to use the ready to use the ready to use virtual machine:
https://www.becpg.fr/redmine/projects/becpg-community/wiki/Install-doc#Virtual-machine

or an account on our SaaS version:

Hello Philippe! Thanks a lot.

I did it from scratch. I thought that by importing each raw material it would import everything. It doesn't work like this?

I'm downloading the ready to use virtual machine, as per your suggestion. However, I'd like to still set up my own from scratch. Any tips on how to upload the food into my database?

Best

Gabriel

Hello Gabriel,

If you build from scratch your system with community version, you must initialize the repository manually. You must create nutrients as described here:
https://www.becpg.fr/redmine/projects/becpg-community/wiki/2_PLM_Set_up#Characteristics

Names of nutrients must be the same in your system and in USDA database.
